Beloved Star Pat Finn, a versatile actor, Famed For Roles in Seinfeld and The Middle, Passes Away at 60 Years Old.
US performer Finn, who was seen in iconic programs including Friends, Seinfeld and "The Middle", has passed away aged 60.
The skilled improv artist passed away at his residence in LA this Monday following treatment for cancer since 2022, according to media reports.
"Pat Finn never met a stranger - just potential friends he hadn't encountered," his loved ones stated in a announcement.
They continued that he had "lived his life fully - with joy and exuberance".
A Prolific Television Career
His initial on-screen part was on the George Wendt Show in 1995, where he portrayed the lead character's sibling.
He also had a repeating character on Murphy Brown from 1995 to 1997.
He starred as Joe Mayo in the show Seinfeld in 1998, depicting a party host who would assign tedious tasks to his guests.
Throughout the end of the 90s and start of the 2000s, he made guest appearances on numerous hit series, including:
- The King of Queens
- Friends
- "That '70s Show"
- House, M.D.
He was most recognized for playing Bill Norwood in The Middle, featuring across eight seasons over nearly a decade.
His film credits include It's Complicated and "Santa Paws 2".
Beyond the Screen
Beyond his television work, Finn was deeply involved in improvisational comedy and worked as a teacher at the University of Colorado, where he was a faculty member.
He was a member of a six-member improv team named Beer Shark Mice.
"Pat guided, supported, and advised many learners during his career and it's nearly impossible to find anyone anywhere who has anything negative to say about him," his loved ones expressed.
In a tribute, peer actor Richard Kind remarked there was "nobody more kind, gentle, and humorous, down to earth person you could encounter".
"Perpetually optimistic, assisting others to improve and be funnier. An excellent dad and person," Kind wrote on social media.
Pat Finn is survived by his partner Donna, his three kids, and his mother, father, and brothers/sisters.
