Netflix Selects Ideal Actor for Mr. 2 in the Hit Series Third Season
Baroque Works is geared up to play a huge role in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, although the true confrontation won’t unfold until the third season, and a cherished, fan-favorite member has recently been selected.
The platform declared this week that the talented performer will appear in the One Piece cast for the third season and will embody Bon Clay. The role has the ability to transform into an perfect replica of any individual they’ve touched with their right hand. Escola, who is gender non-conforming and goes by they/them, will play a interpretation of that role re-envisioned as non-binary, as opposed to as a drag queen, in the live-action show, differing from the source material and anime.
Escola joins several other new cast members who will portray the group to life, such as chief Mr. 0, portrayed by the well-known actor, a talented actress as Miss Goldenweek, and an accomplished actor, who also joins the lineup as the ruler of the desert kingdom.
Even though Bon Clay is a major member of the group, the persona will be introduced in One Piece season 3. Given season 2 expected to adapt the Little Garden storyline, this signals a notable change in the timing of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could suggest additional alterations to the story’s structure.
Escola’s blend of excellent comedic sense and profound feeling makes them a standout choice for the role. Along with their recent voice performance in the youth-focused cartoon movie Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and several accolades for penning and acting in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, highlighting the adaptability they’ll add to one of One Piece’s most celebrated figures.
Netflix's live-action One Piece program is scheduled to come back for its next installment on March 10, 2026.
